Wichita Homeschool Robotics

Wichita Homeschool Robotics is a dynamic program focused on preparing high school students for future careers by developing their character, teaching them to utilize various tools and technologies, and providing hands-on workplace experience through participation in BEST Robotics competitions.

Key Features:

  • Career Preparation: Offers students a unique opportunity to gain practical skills in engineering and technology, directly applicable to future career paths.

  • Character Building: Emphasizes growth through both failures and successes, ensuring that team members develop resilience and a positive work ethic.

  • Christian Environment: Provides mentorship based on Christian values, fostering a supportive and values-driven community.

  • Workplace Experience: Teaches real-world engineering skills, offering students a head start in technical professions.

  • Eligibility: Open to students aged 14 through high school graduation.

  • Cost: Free to join, with the only cost being a team shirt for less than $10.

  • Meeting Schedule: Regular meetings are held every night from 6:30 P.M. to 9:30 P.M. and Saturdays from 10:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. (excluding Wednesdays and Sundays), starting in late August through October, with continued participation for those advancing to Regionals until December.

Achievements: Wichita Homeschool Robotics has an impressive track record in BEST Robotics competitions, consistently achieving top placements in both state and regional levels, demonstrating the effectiveness and competitiveness of their program.
